pengertian hormat dan patuh kepada orang tua dan guru. Itâs been several weeks since the Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro were made official. Like any other new phone, they arenât short of niggly problems here and there, but some of them are things you can work out quite easily with a little help. In this post, we have put together some of the common Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro problems and possible solutions. In case the problem you are facing with the Redmi Note 5 or Redmi Note 5 Pro is not mentioned here, do let us know via the comments section below. We would try our best to get you a solution to that, but you may have to wait for Xiaomi to roll out a software update for that. Also, while we are confident that the solutions given here would fix the respective problem for you, just in case it doesnât work, do let us know. OEM Unlock option missing Some Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro users who are after unlocking their phoneâs bootloader are reporting a case where the OEM unlock option is missing in the Settings > Developer options. Well, if your Note 5 or Note 5 Pro is missing this option, you might never get to unlock your phoneâs bootloader. Account binding isnât working Some Redmi Note 5 users are reporting a case where they are unable to unlock the phoneâs bootloader because account binding isnât working. This has been reported on the Global Developer ROM, where the process returns an error whenever one tries to bind the device in Mi Unlock Status. Since itâs only Xiaomi that can permit their device to be unlocked, you may be forced to apply for unlocking permission from the company, which will arrive in form of an SMS after a day or two. Once you get the permission, go to this XDA thread for more instructions on how to proceed with binding your account on Redmi Note 5 and eventually unlock your phoneâs bootloader. Network connectivity issues There are some Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro users experiencing issues with network connectivity. Even though both phones support 4G LTE connectivity, some users on Indiaâs Jio and Vodafone networks have been experiencing spotty connectivity after some days of using the phones. Since connectivity was great at first, itâs possible this could be as a result of the previous update to MIUI Since thereâs a new update rolling out, be sure to grab it for it may be the cure for your connectivity issues. Some users have also reported that rebooting the device should work miracles, but of course, this wonât solve everyoneâs problems. If connectivity issues persist, you may want to go back to the software version that worked perfectly or simply learn to live with it until Xiaomi rolls out an update to fix the issues. While laying the blame on Xiaomi is the easy option, itâs also possible that the issue could be the carriers in question. Even so, fixes should be out sooner than later. Dual 4G connectivity not working Both the Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro have dual-SIM slots that support 4G LTE connectivity. However, some owners of these phones have reported cases where only one SIM card connects to 4G and the other connects to 3G. Well, thereâs nothing wrong with your phone. When one SIM card is connected to 4G, the other will always remain on 3G because the phones are made in a way that both cannot connect to 4G LTE network at the same time. Silent mode issues Some users are reporting issues when they are using the Redmi Note 5 or Note 5 Pro in silent mode. Apparently, the phonesâ silent mode wonât work when the headphone jack is plugged into the phone. Resetting the device to factory settings may help solve the problem, but since it looks like a software-based issue, Xiaomi should be working on a fix that could be part of the next update. The left speaker isnât working When you look at the Redmi Note 5 from the bottom end, you can see what seem to be speaker grilles on either side of the microUSB port. Apparently, some users of the phone are reporting a case where sound only comes from the right grille and the one on the left isnât producing any sound. Well, if you have experienced this, just know that thereâs nothing wrong with your Redmi Note 5 because it doesnât have dual speakers. The other grille houses one of the two microphones on the phone hence the lack of audio output. Low sound output when using the audio jack At a time when OEMs are getting rid of the audio jack, Xiaomi kept on with it as far as the Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro are concerned. However, it seems owners of the latter are experiencing an issue with low sound output following an update to version Well, youâll be glad to learn that Xiaomi rolled out an update that fixed this issue, beginning with MIUI9 beta, which is now available as a stable ROM. If you are still experiencing this issue even after updating to be sure to direct some of your concerns to this thread. Portrait camera problems The Redmi Note 5 Pro recently received an update that installs MIUI9 and even though the changelog talks of improved stability and performance, some users are reporting issues when taking photos in portrait mode. Apparently, the camera automatically zooms in the subject, more like what happens on Xiaomi Mi A1. While this behavior is a huge welcome on the Mi A1 since it has a telephoto lens that supports lossless zooming, the Redmi Note 5 Pro doesnât have a telephoto lens and instead depends on digital zoom. As a result, users are ending up with slightly grainy photos that are not so great. The only working solution thus far is going back to the previous version of MIUI9, which can be quite a hassle, but other than that, youâll have to make do with the changes as you wait for another software update from Xiaomi. Microphone issues The Redmi Note 5 Pro has two microphones: one at the top and another at the bottom of the phone. Despite this, some users of the phone are still reporting some issues with audio clarity on the recipientsâ end. When making a phone call via the loudspeaker, the person on the other end constantly complaints of distorted sound that isnât clear enough. This issue is also affecting the phoneâs functionality with Google Assistant, which relies heavily on the microphones for taking commands from users. Worse off is that the affected Redmi Note 5 Pro units are failing microphone hardware tests, which implies that this could be a hardware-related issue. With this in mind, you might want to take your phone back to where you purchased it and either get the microphone fixed or the whole phone replaced. Vibration intensity issue Like volume, some devices allow users to adjust the vibration intensity, but the Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro donât. Apparently, some users of these two phones arenât happy with the level of vibration as it makes them miss notifications even when the phone is in the pocket. Of course, we have different tastes, but if for some reason you feel what the Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro are offering isnât enough, you can always turn to the Google Play Store for apps that can help you do exactly that â adjust vibration intensity, unless Xiaomi has plans to tweak the feature via a software update. Sensors stopped working after latest update Software updates can be heaven sent, but at times, they come with the devil hidden in them. Such is the latest update ( to the Redmi Note 5 Pro, which renders several sensors on the phone unusable. Even after a factory reset, the sensors still wonât work. To make matters worse, doing a hardware test brings back failed results for most sensors, including gyroscope, proximity, GPS, accelerometer, etc. The best solution is to take the defective Redmi Note 5 Pro back to the retailer and get a replacement because thereâs nothing a software update can do to solve this problem. Wireless connectivity issues If you are experiencing connectivity issues with Bluetooth or Wi-Fi on your Redmi Note 5 or Note 5 Pro, one easy solution is to forget the existing connections and then try to connect to them again. If this doesnât work, try checking whether your wireless peripherals are working correctly and that thereâs an established connection. A soft reset should help, otherwise, try the factory reset that can also help take away your pain, but the latter should be your last option. Common solutions As you may have seen above, an obvious solution to some of the problems listed above is a reset, so, letâs see how to do this. Soft reset (force restart) Hard reset (factory reset) The issues with your Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro that couldnât be solved via device reset are a real trouble. You may have to wait for Xiaomi to release an update that fixes the issue. Check out the software updates that have been released so far by Xiaomi at the pages link below. To keep track of the pairâs software updates, check out their timelines below: Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 updates timeline Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro updates timeline Android Oreo release date Since the Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro came preinstalled with Android Nougat, itâs natural that some of our readers are already asking when Android Oreo will arrive on both handsets. Well, Xiaomi hasnât given a date for rolling out Oreo to the two phones, but we are quite sure the update will be released. As for the date, our guess is Q3 2018, but things could change, for good or worse! Also Read: Xiaomi Oreo update news and release date Will it get Android P? Given that the Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro are Xiaomiâs flagship midrange phones, we can only be sure of one major OS upgrade, but not another one unless Xiaomi announces the same. As noted, the pair has Nougat out of the box and itâs a tad unlikely that theyâll get past Oreo. But of course, since their bootloaders are unlockable, you wonât be short of Android P-based custom ROMs for either phone. Still, our hope is that Xiaomi rolls out Android P to the phones, even if means singling out the Redmi Note 5 Pro because of its superiority. Xiaomi met with huge success with the Redmi Note 4 last year and expectations are high for its successor this year: the Redmi Note 5. While there were rumors of Xiaomi rebranding the Redmi 5 Plus as Redmi Note 5 in Asian markets, todayâs leak from China puts those rumors to an end. A 3C listing from China points to Xiaomi working on two different Redmi Note 5 models. The first and more powerful model will feature a Snapdragon 636 chipset, 4GB RAM, and 64GB storage space. The Snapdragon 636 offers up to 40 percent performance improvement over the Snapdragon 630, while its Adreno 509 GPU offers a 10 percent performance improvement. The octa-core chip is based on the 10nm FinFET process which makes it extremely power efficient. This chip should offer a major performance boost over the excellent Snapdragon 625 found inside the Redmi Note 4. The 3C leak also points to the Redmi Note 5 coming with a 18:9 aspect ratio display which has now become commonplace in mid-range Android devices. The handset will also feature a dual-camera set up at the rear which would include a 16MP primary shooter and a 5MP secondary sensor. An 8MP selfie shooter will be located at the front. Interestingly, Xiaomi is also preparing a lower specâd variant of the Redmi Note 5 that will retail with a slightly lower price. This model will feature a Snapdragon 630 chipset and pack 3GB RAM along with 32GB of storage. Other specs of the device will remain the same as the Snapdragon 636 variant. Interestingly, while both phones will come with a fingerprint scanner at the rear, Xiaomi will also include face unlock on them. They will also come with a 4100mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. The Redmi Note 5 will be running on MIUI 9 out of the box whenever it is released to the public. The handset is expected to make its debut next month presumably at the Mobile World Congress 2018 in Barcelona. Prices for the handset is expected to start from RMB 1499, with the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant coming in at 1799 RMB ($280). Our Take Xiaomiâs Redmi Note 3 did exceedingly well in 2016 and in 2017, the Redmi Note 4 helped it to further consolidate its position in the Chinese and Indian smartphone market. The Redmi Note series has played a key role in Xiaomiâs strong comeback and regain the momentum that it had lost to Oppo and Vivo in China and India. Looking at the rumored specs and price of the Redmi Note 5, the company seems to have another winner on its hands this year. [Via MyDrivers]

Xiaomi today unveiled the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro in India. Up until last year, there was no âProâ variant in the Redmi Note series but Xiaomi has changed things around this year to cater to different needs of customers. So, what are the differences between the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro? Before you jump over to the differences below, you need to know that the Pro is meant for hardcore gamers and heavy users who want a slightly better camera performance on their phone. This does not mean that the regular variant of the Redmi Note 5 is a bad phone by any means though. Basis of Difference Redmi Note 5 Redmi Note 5 Pro Dimensions x x mm x x mm Weight 180g 181g Display FHD+ (2160 x 1080), curved Gorilla Glass 3 FHD+ (2160 x 1080), curved Gorilla Glass 3 Chipset Octa-core Snapdragon 625 chip @ 2GHz Octa-core Snapdragon 636 chip @ GPU Adreno 506 Adreno 510 RAM 3/4GB RAM 4/6GB RAM Storage 32/64GB 64GB Rear Camera 12MP F/ pixel, Dual-LED flash 12MP F/ pixel, Dual-LED flash Front Camera 5MP, LED selfie light, Beautify 20MP, LED selfie light, Beautify Sensors Fingerprint scanner (Rear), Gyroscope, Accelerometer, Proximity, Ambient light sensor, eCompass Fingerprint scanner (Rear), Gyroscope, Accelerometer, Proximity, Ambient light sensor, eCompass Connectivity LTE, (Hybrid) Dual SIM, GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth microUSB LTE, (Hybrid) Dual SIM, GPS, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth microUSB Battery 4000mAh 4000mAh Software MIUI 9, Android MIUI 9, Android Others â Face Unlock As you can see from the comparison chart above, the Redmi Note 5 Pro comes with a more powerful Snapdragon 636 chipset. In fact, it is the first phone in the world to make use of Qualcommâs Snapdragon 636 chip which features the companyâs custom designed Kryo cores. Apart from the more powerful chipset, the Redmi Note 5 Pro is offered by Xiaomi in a 6GB RAM variant as well. The additional 2GB of RAM is unlikely to make any huge difference in performance though unless you are a heavy multitasker. The other major difference between the Redmi Note 5 and Note 5 Pro is the dual-camera setup on the latter. While both phones come with a primary 12MP f/ shooter, the Redmi Note 5 Pro features a secondary 5MP shooter that is used to capture depth information to add a bokeh effect in photos. The Redmi Note 5 Pro also comes with a higher resolution 20MP selfie shooter at its front compared to the regular 5MP sensor found on the Redmi Note 5. Apart from capturing more detailed selfies, the higher resolution selfie camera on the Redmi Note 5 Pro allows it to offer face unlock which is missing from the regular variant of the handset. What do you think about the Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro? Do you think the extra horsepower offered by the Redmi Note 5 Pro will come in handy in your daily use? Drop a comment and let us know.
